What that means – Try not to make mistakes. Or, anyway, if you do, make the mistakes as small and infrequent as possible. When you look back over time, it will be your errors that really hurt you.

What that means – Try not to break laws. Yes, there are too many. Don’t cheat, steal, or even speed. If you can avoid court-proceedings, of any sort or for whatever reason, you should.
Look before you leap; however, he who hesitates is lost.
What that means – Hire a lawyer when you don’t need one. Opportunities will arise that you should seize and, if you’re going to act quickly, having counsel in-hand is a big plus. Still, read everything.
Never write who you can call and never call who you can talk to in-person.
What that means – It’s both figurative and literal. Communicate succinctly and with appropriate frequency. Seek to resolve disputes early and head-on. Use an intermediary where necessary. Work face-to-face with only those you know and trust.
Build only when and where there is demand.
What that means – The field of dreams attracted merely ghosts. If you have business, work hard to service and grow that. Pinpoint and chase more like customers. Don’t expect buyers or attention will come along just because it’s a good idea.
Feed your white-knight; Don’t give money to the dragons.
What that means – If problems are surrounding you, don’t just willy-nilly send payments to your creditors, follow the advice of your counsel and pay their bill first.
Mo’ money mo’ problems is a fact.
What that means – The more you have the more there is to keep track of. Are things titled right? Who’s in charge? What disputes, paperwork and proceedings are on the horizon? Organize and keep your affairs clear and efficient.

What that means – Use your devices and the Internet carefully. Protect yourself. Governments and Internet companies are not transparent, they work together, and they enjoy no accountability. Meanwhile, they’d like to know everything about you.
